MUMBAI: “Dangal” girl Zaira Wasim on Monday said that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan who launched her into films is not her mentor, neither in the movie “Secret Superstar” nor in real life.
“He is not a mentor in this film (Secret Super Star) and even in life he is not a mentor, he is a person who I have learnt a lot from, he is a person who is a friend and a family member for me. He is just one call away if I need any suggestion or any advice,” Zaira told India’s NDTV.
During the interview, the young actor revealed that she has discovered a lot about herself while acting and feels that her biggest strength is her conviction both in her profession and real life.
About how her life has changed after becoming a star, she maintained that her life is similar to what it was before “Dangal” or “Secret Superstar” apart from the fact that she “receives a lot of love”.
“Every time I go out, people come and they click pictures and tell me how they liked my films,” said Zaira.
Zaira Wasim has become one of the most talked-about Bollywood actresses in no time after Dangal, in which she played the young Geeta Phogat. Zaira again impressed the audience with her heartfelt performance in the recently released Secret Superstar.
Both the movies were produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and starred Aamir Khan.
