‘Ab Ki Baar Trump Sarkaar’: Trump’s Hindi ad will leave you in splits

US Presidential candidate Donald Trump has appeared in a bizarre campaign advertisement which will make you reeling with bewilderment.

Trump who has made an outreach to Indian Americans as a key part of his campaign in recent weeks said “Ab ki baar Trump sarkar.”

The advertisement begins with a “Happy Diwali” message and footage of Trump lighting a ‘diya’ at an event sponsored by the Republican Hindu Coalition in New Jersey earlier this month.

The ad  has been put together by the Indian-American Advisory Committee which features him saying the message in Hindi which is clearly ripped from the “Ab ki baar Modi sarkar” slogan of the BJP in 2014.

The 29-second ad contains several moments of his speech at the RHC event, including the quotes “The Indian and Hindu community will have a true friend in the White House”,

“I look forward to working with Prime Minister Modi” and “We love the Hindus, we love India”. The highlight is the moment when Trump looks into the camera and says “Ab ki baar Trump sarkar.”

In the end it shows a disclaimer saying the video was “Paid for by Donald J Trump for President inc” with a voice message from  Trump saying he approves of the message.

On October 15, Trump attended a convention of the RHC in which he focused on the relationship with India, and said that should he get elected, “Indian and Hindu community will have a true friend in the White House.”

“I am a great friend of the Hindu,” said Trump at the event which included Bollywood music and to prove that the Hindu community supported him

Shalabh Kumar who was emerged as the biggest Indian-American donor of the Trump campaign told BuzzFeed News that Trump had to say the line about 15 times.

He said that the ad was being aired on all Indian-American channels almost 20 times per day. It is estimated that there are around 3.4 million Indian-American living in the US.
