Abdul Aziz assures Islamabad police of co-operation

The controversial cleric in a letter to Inspector General (IG) Islamabad assured the police of full co-operation by saying that he will duly update the law enforcing authority about his whereabouts, residence and movement.

The pro-Taliban cleric claimed that he is a peaceful citizen of the capital and has nothing to do with terrorism and extremist organization.

He maintained that he has been living in Islamabad as a peaceful citizen for the last 50 years and will continue to co-operate with police.

It must be noted that a civil court issued arrest warrant for the hardline cleric on December 26, 2014 but the cleric said that he would neither apply for a bail nor surrender to the police.
