He was speaking to the media after inaugurating a water and sewerage scheme where he claimed that there was a conspiracy to set Rawalpindi on fire, but they maintained silence over it.
He went on his usual diatribe and warned to give a befitting reply to those pointing fingers at Nawaz Sharif.
In an indirect reference to Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, he said that they would also march towards the Lal Haveli in Rawalpindi in response to the march on Raiwand.
He said that Rashid was devoid of ethics and morality and needed to be taught a lesson, and alleged that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Tahir-ul-Qadri were RAW agents.
Rana Sanaullah
An interesting incident occurred when he was informed that Punjab Law minister Rana Sanaullah was supposed to inaugurate the scheme later today.
Abid Sher appeared infuriated and the scheme was from their funds, and the municipal chairman has been elected with his support, and so he had the first right over it.
There has a history of allegations between Abid Sher and Rana Sanaullah, who despite being the from the same party have been at loggerheads with each other.
Last year, Abid Sher Ali’s father Chaudhry Sher Ali had leveled accusations against Rana Sanaullah during a local government election.
However, Rana Sanaullah was unfazed and said they both belonged to the same constituency and did not mattered if the scheme was inaugurated by him.
PTI reaction
However, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has responded and said that Abid Sher Ali’s statements prove that the Sharif family is deeply concerned about the popularity of the ongoing accountability march.
PTI Central Additional Secretary Information Faisal Javed Khan said on Twitter that the Panama Papers will be the last nail in the coffin over the reign of the Sharif family.
He said that Abid Sher Ali should ask his uncle to speak the truth if he was worried about the march to Raiwand. He said that they will only rest after the stolen wealth of the nation is returned.
