ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB) called on Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Industry and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood here on Thursday.
The ADB delegation led by its Director-General Werner E Leipach discussed the ongoing and upcoming projects of the bank with the prime minister’s adviser.
The delegation also exchanged views with the adviser over the ongoing technical assistance projects in Pakistan.
The prime minister’s adviser and the ADB delegation also discussed the issue of modernization in the small industries.
Dawood said that promotion of renewable energy in the country is key for the economic development.
He said energy supply is one of the foremost priorities of this government.
The adviser said that the government was working to ensure provision of investment facilities in other sectors.
Dawood said that the new National Tariff policy will benefit the small industries.
It is to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan has recently approved the country’s first-ever National Tariff Policy.
