Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal only deserve exhibition match now not an international one, he said.
“Do not play joke with cricket, please. So, you want to make somebody play international match just to give him sendoff. You should better make them play special match then, which could also generate charity,” he said while talking to media in Lahore.
Recently, when a reporter asked Afridi about his fitness his response was very interesting. He said: “I can still handle ten guys like you alone.”
In a retweet to a senior sports journalist Nabeel Hashmi’s tweet, Chairman Executive Committee PCB Najam Sethi last Saturday said: “PCB will honour Afridi and Ajmal in fitting sendoffs. I will meet and discuss this with them next week.”
Hashmi had tweeted: “PCB can stage exhibition or charity match as well for Shahid Afridi. He is a superstar and deserves a good way out.”
On the other hand, spin maestro Saeed Ajmal said he had no intention to quit One-Day International or Twenty20 cricket at the moment.
The 38-year-old spinner said he had worked really hard to stage a powerful comeback.
