CM Sindh’s daughter among 360 graduates awarded degrees at AKU convocation

KARACHI: Agha Khan University held its annual convocation 2017 on Sunday where 360 graduates were awarded degrees in various disciplines. 

The positions holders were also awarded gold medals. Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also attended the convocation as his daughter was also among the graduates.

Addressing the occasion, Governor Sindh said that AKU along with Institute of Business Administration (IBA) was the finest institutes in the country, and is a symbol of pride for Pakistan. He said that AKU gives special consideration to all students, and congratulated all the deserving graduates and their parents.

The governor expressed satisfaction over

the educational standards at the university which he said signifies that the educational system is in safe hands. He announced that a special reception will be held at the Governor House for the position holders.

AKU President Feroze Rasul addressed the occasion and congratulated the graduating students. He said the world is rapidly changing in the modern age and it is necessary that all students must be prepared for it.

Mr. Rasul said that several projects are ongoing with collaboration of the government of Sindh. He said the AKU had taken the responsibility to support modern technology in the health sector across the province. AKU is also involved in anti-polio awareness initiatives.
