During the ceremony, the outgoing Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt was given guard of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Tahir Rafique Butt said defence of the country is the foremost priority of Pakistan Air Force.
“PAF is playing a vital role in weeding out terrorism from the country”, he added.
Praising the capabilities of PAF, he said PAF is being equipped with latest technology.
“Special attention is being paid towards high level of training in PAF and steps have been taken for provision of facilities to the PAF personnel” said Rafique Butt.
Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman
Air Marshal Sohail Aman is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and Kings College London.
He was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in November 1980 as GD Pilot.
During his career, he commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing and an operational airbase.
Air Marshal Sohail Aman is also recipient of Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).
