MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan here on Monday demanded of the Indian government to stop killing youths in occupied Kashmir.
Addressing a seminar titled “Role of Pakistani Media in Mitigating Diplomatic Pressures” in Islamabad today, Sardar Masood Khan said urged the international community to play its due role to solve longstanding issue of Kashmir.
On the occasion, he said, ” Media should broadcast true picture of the occupied Kashmir.” The president said that Pakistani media played a positive role in recent Pakistan-India stand-off whereas Indian media played a role to promote war hysteria.
Speaking on the occasion Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said media diplomacy in conflict resolution has its great significance. He said mass media has become a powerful tool for diplomacy.

Earlier, praising media, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, on March 3, had praised Pakistan media’s positive, constructive and responsible role for peace in the region.
According to a statement released from his office, CM Usman Buzdar had said that Pakistani media’s role was commendable and added that the journalists had performed their national duty very well.
Criticizing the Indian media’s war mongering, CM Buzdar had said that Pakistani media had acted responsibly during the ongoing Pak-Indian tension.
