KARACHI: A former member Parliament belonging to Mutahidda Qaumi Movement, Ali Raza Abidi, is quite an active Twitter user who doesn’t keep his political statements hush-hush. And it appeared that rumours claiming his expected induction into the PTI hit his raw nerve and he decided to quash them with a retort he ‘never’ resorted to use before publicly.
A twitter user, with an undisclosed source, posted a tweet claiming that Ali Raza Abidi and senior MQM leader Farooq Sattar are likely to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The ex-MNA preferred not to ignore that tweet that could have possibly gone viral and end up becoming news. He used an emoji expressing anger on the rumour and wrote “Chal Be” to bury the buzz.
Take a look!
It didn’t just end here. The former MQM leader faced the same question hours later by another user whether he was joining the PTI.
And here’s what he responded…in a slang once again 🙂
On Sep 2, Abidi had tendered his resignation from the basic membership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan citing personal reasons.
He quit the party before by-polls on NA-243 seat.
According to sources privy to the matter, Abidi took the decision of resigning from party after being sidelined as a candidate for NA-243 by-elections.
