Amin Fahim among 11 indicted in NICL case

The court in Karachi today framed charges against Amin Fahim and other co-accused. Fahim, a commerce minister in previous People’s Party government, and co-accused Salman Ghani were not present in the court hearing.

The accused present in the court today denied prosecution indictment against them.

The 11 accused in the case include Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Ayaz Khan Niazi, Salman Ghani, Amin Qasim Dada, Muhammad Zahoor, Zahid Hussain, Hur Gardezi, Naveed Hussain Zaidi, SM Iqbal, Amir Hussain and Khawaja Akbar Butt.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim have been accused of abusing his power as minister to purchase a piece of land on inflated rates which led to millions of rupees losses to the national exchequer.

The court has summoned witnesses in the next hearing of the case on September 30.
