Another child maid torture case reported in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Police has registered another torture case involving a child housemaid after a minor girl alleged that she was subjected to physical torment and not being allowed to visit home by the family she was serving for the past four years.

Child maid Saima, registered complaint at Golra police station that the children of the family and their mother, residing in Sector 11 of Islamabad, subjected her to physical torture, she escaped from the house to take refuge to the neighbors.

Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 154 and detained owner of the house and his mother on complaint filed by the girl.

The girl alleged that she was tortured with hot knives and beaten with leather belts and was not once allowed to visit her family over a four-year period.

Earlir, the case of torture on child housemaid, Tayyaba, came into light when pictures of the 10-year old went viral on social media with internet users claiming that the maid working at additional session judge Khurram Ali Khan’s house was subjected to severe torture by the family.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar had taken suo motu notice of the case of torture on the 10-year old.
