RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa has felicitated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi for the latter’s efforts in successfully arranging the Pakistan Super League’s final and West Indies series in Pakistan.
The army chief congratulated the PCB chief through a letter shared by the PCB media’s Twitter account today.
“I wish to express my hearty felicitation to you and your team on the conduct of Pakistan Super League and home series with West Indies in Pakistan,” General Bajwa said in a letter dated May 3.
The letter further says that these landmark achievements not only bode well for the future of Pakistan Cricket but also allay the distorted view of Pakistan and the security environment. General Bajwa also appreciated the PCB for its efforts in promoting the soft image of Pakistan.
“I thank you for your kind words of gratitude for making comprehensive security arrangements for international cricket events,” the letter said, adding that Pakistan Army supports PCB in all efforts to promote the image of peaceful and progressive Pakistan. “We appreciate your diligence and patriotic zeal in making these events a resounding success.”
“With best wishes and warm regards to all functionaries of the PCB,” the letter concludes.
