According to details, the decisions of closing the army schools in the metropolis were made on Tuesday night. The parents of the students enrolled in the schools were informed of the decision regarding the school closure in the night as well.
Earlier, the convocation ceremony of Karachi University was also postponed due to security reasons.
It should be noted that security in the educational centres across the country were stepped up following the attack on Charsadda’s Bacha Khan University which left at least 20 people dead.
The incident reminded the terror-hit country of the attack on Army Public School in Peshawar in which over 140 people, mostly children, were killed.
