Pakistan Embassy in Afghanistan has also confirmed release of Khan from Afghanistan, ARY News reported. The embassy was in constant contact with the detained reporter.
The orders for release of Khan were issued by the Nangarhar High Court in the eastern province of Afghanistan.
Khan had gone missing from tribal areas of Afghanistan during reporting assignment on April 30, 2014. It was unearthed later that Afghan security forces had detained him for ‘trespassing’ the border.
Journalist bodies and unions have been raising their voice for release of the ARY News reporter since his arrest.

“I am very much delighted and so are my children on return of their father.”
She said CEO ARY Digital Network Salman Iqbal and other management high-ups extended their all-out support and endeavored hard for release of Faizullah. “I earnestly thank them all for their efforts and assistance in the case,” she added.
