Asad sees beginning of the end in NA-125 verdict

Expressing his views in ARY News talk show ‘Off The Record’, Umar claimed that even the aggrieved party is accepting PTI stance on the issue as Saad Rafique said that he is not challenging ‘rigging’ but pre-planned rigging.

Umar congratulated PTI supporters of the constituency who organized a protest rally on Lahore’s Lalik Chowk and challenged Khwaja Saad Rafique’s victory soon after the result was announced after May 2013 general elections.

The PTI leader maintained that the protesters at Lalik Chowk had themselves organized the rally.

Meanwhile on Twitter, Asad Umar said that the verdict by election tribunal is the beginning of the end of the current assemblies, albeit with a lot of question marks.

An election tribunal on Monday ordered re-election on Lahore’s NA-125 constituency, a seat previously secured by Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique in the May 2013 general elections.

PTI candidate Hamid Khan had challenged his victory by claiming that the election had been rigged.

In the May 11 2013 election count, Saad Rafique had bagged 123,416 votes beating PTI’s Hamid Khan who secured 84,495 thousand votes.
