ASF foils attack on Pasni airport radar

According to Airport Security Forces (ASF) spokesperson, unknown gunmen attacked the air traffic radar of Pasni Airport by opening fire upon the installation.

The attack was thwarted by ASF personnel as they opened fire on the terrorists forcing them to flee. No loss of life or property reported in the incident.

Deputy Commissioner Gwadar, Abdul Hameed told media that the terrorists opened fire on the installation from hills located eight kilometer away from the airport.

A search operation has been launched to arrest the terrorists who fled the scene after retaliatory fire by the law enforcement personnel.

Pasni is a small town and a fishing port in Gwadar district of Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan. It is located on the Makran coastal belt on Arabian Sea about 300 km away from Karachi.
