Asfandyar questions implementation of National Action Plan

QUETTA: Awami National Party while raising a number of questions over terrorist attack on police training centre in Quetta, has said that the National Action Plan not being implemented in the country properly.

The ANP chief addressing a press conference here on Wednesday questioned lack of proper security despite threat alert resulting in the tragedy which claimed at least 62 lives of police cadets apart of several dozen injuries.

He asked why the police cadets who were sent on 10 days’ leave called five days earlier. The authorities could at least seek explanation from those who had called back the cadets earlier, he said.

He was of the view that such incidents could not happen without inside help.

He said that the national action plan not being implemented properly adding that it is joint responsibility of the federation and the provinces to enforce it.
