Ashiana Housing Scam: AC extends judicial remand of accused until July 13

LAHORE: An Accountability court (AC) on Wednesday extended the judicial remand of Ahad Cheema and other five suspects in the Ashiana Housing Scheme scandal for nine days.

The court ordered all accused in the case to appear in the next hearing on July 13.

Judge Chuadhry Muneer was hearing the corruption case at an accountability court here.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed a reference, comprises of more than 3000 pages in which Ahad Cheema and others are accused of plundering national exchequer with embezzlement of billions of rupees.

The other suspects include proprietor of Bismillah Engineering Company Shahid Shafiq, Israr Saeed, Arif Majeed as well as Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC) officials Imtiaz Haider and Bilal Qidwai.
