After defeating the arch-rivals, Pakistan has qualified for the semi-finals. It is the first defeat of India in three games.
At the first half, both the sides drew level 0-0. Pakistan side, however, was quicker and deftly used the advantage on the counter-attack very effectively.
Bhutta scored first goal for the team green, leaving India in disarray. Even the Pakistan side maintained their lead until 15 minutes of game play was left, when Nikkin Thimmaiah of India scored an equalizer and both the sides drew level 1-1.
Interestingly, minutes after India balanced the score, Pakistan fired the second goal to go back into lead.
It may be noted here that India had beaten Pakistan 3-2 in the 2010 in Guangzhou and more recently in the 2013 Azlan Shah Cup, with 4-2 victory.
