Asim Azhar teases new song after Merub Ali breakup

Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has hinted at releasing a new song days after his split from showbiz starlet Merub Ali.

The two took the internet by storm on June 12 when they announced their breakup after three years of engagement.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Asim Azhar announced that he and his actor-model fiancée Merub Ali have decided to end their years-long relationship.

“After a great deal of thought and reflection, Merub & l, have chosen to move forward on separate paths peacefully & mutually,” he wrote in his post.

While the ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’ actor did not release any official statement on the split, she later shared some stunning behind-the-scenes pictures from what seems like a recent modelling gig.

“bts,” she wrote in the caption of the nine-slide carousel post, which also featured her video, jamming on BLACKPINK star Rose and Bruno Mars chart-topper ‘APT’.

Asim Azhar has now revealed working on writing a new song, which he might release in the coming days.

The Pakistani singer took to Instagram to share a photo of himself sitting in his music studio.

“Wrote something just now. Might drop it idk [I don’t know]” he wrote in the caption.

It is worth noting here that Asim Azhar and Merub Ali are childhood friends and starred together in ARY Digital’s blockbuster serial ‘Sinf-e-Aahan.‘

After several public appearances together, they got engaged in an intimate ceremony in 2022.
