Fifty-five policemen were injured in a clash between PAT workers and Police in Sadhoki on the martyrs day observed by PAT.
The FIR of the incident was registered under terrorism charges against 72 accused including Dr. Tahirul Qadri.
The special court Gujranwala had issued a non-bailable warrant for arrest of Qadri and other accused by August 05.
The police informed the
court today that Tahirul Qadri was leading the PAT sit-in in Islamabad and his arrest could create a law and order problem. The police pleaded to the court to extend the compliance time of the arrest warrant.
The judge granted the plea and extended the arrest warrant for seven days and ordered the police to comply the order upto September 22nd.
