ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s government has assigned an amount of Rs3046.325 million in favor of six developing projects and new ventures under Information Technology and Telecommunication Division for FY 2018-2019 in the Public-Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The financial amount intended for an enlargement project of Information Technology and Telecommunication for the year 2017-2018 was Rs1538 million.
According to sources, it is stated that the budget augmentation by almost 98% than previous year is mainly for the progressive development of Pakistan’s IT sector, by endowing better infrastructure and to smooth the progress of initiating small IT ventures in order to provide improvised services and reputed products.
Also the Ministry projected the idea of widening the range of IT by starting technology related parks, and to source the upcoming ventures of entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan.
According to Ministry’s project namely “Enhancing IT Exports Through Industry Support Programmes”, 70 plus associations will be sourced with CMMI professionals to accomplish CMMI level II, level III, level 5 and ISO 270001/200000 qualifications as per global principles.
It is also discovered that not a single amount is taken from any overseas funding, all is initiated by the government in order to proceed for a progressive Pakistan.
