Customs Judge Rana Aftab heard the smuggling case against Ayyan Ali on Tuesday.
In the hearing, prosecutors produced six eye-witnesses in the case which included Airport Security Force personnel and customs officials.
Ayyan Ali’s counsel informed the court that his client’s indictment has been challenged in high court and the petition has been accepted for hearing.
He also pleaded the court to adjourn the case
proceedings till 21st December as the counsel of Ayyan Ali Latif Khosa has been busy in his election campaign for the President of Pakistan Bar Council on which the judge remarked that the lawyers should fulfill their professional responsibilities along side contesting elections.
The judge adjourned the hearing till 16th December and remarked that the statements of the witnesses will be recorded in the next proceeding.
