Bajwa vows timely action against Daesh’s sympathizers in Pakistan

Briefing the media in Washington today, Gen Bajwa said Pakistan will not tolerate Daesh’s – Islamic State – presence on its soil and a full-fledged action will be taken against few of its sympathizers when the time came.

He said the globally feared terror outfit is trying to gain foothold in Afghanistan and vowed to target terrorists wherever found.

The ISPR spokesperson told news men that General Raheel Sharif’s meetings with senior US officials were focused on fight against terrorism, as well as regional and international security situation.

He, however, said that a timeframe for the completion of operation Zarb-e-Azb could not be given.

Asim Bajwa further said that the United States has assured full support in fight against militants, adding that Pakistan shares information with 70 intelligence agencies worldwide including Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Speaking with regard to Pakistan’s nukes, the DG ISPR clarified that the country will make no compromise on its nuclear program.
