THATTA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday promised people that he will fulfill the promises made by late Benazir Bhutto and make Pakistan a progressive country if elected to power, ARY News reported.
Speaking to various rallies during his electoral campaign in interior Sindh, Bilawal promised provision of food cards to eliminate hunger from the country and forever solve the food scarcity problem.
Bilawal also promised to resolve the water scarcity issue in the country and vowed to move forward with water desalination programs if elected to power.
He maintained that only PPP focused on people’s basic necessities like food and water and will again do so if people vote for the party.
It is pertinent to note here that Bilawal announced the party’s manifesto for the 2018 general elections on Thursday.
Addressing media in the capital, the PPP chief had lamented the absence of an effective and proactive foreign policy, lack of education and health facilities for common people of the country and an ‘unstable’ economic situation.
He pledged to free all Pakistanis from the fear of hunger, thirst and helplessness and to open opportunities for youth so that “they may excel, become active citizens of Pakistan and confident members of the global community”.
