Bill in PA seeks female newscasters to must wear ‘dupatta’

The bill was presented by Madeeha Rana of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).

The bill states that Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) bound female news casters to wear dupattas while reading news.

It should be noted that the same ban was enforced in the reign of former military dictator General Zia-ul-Haq.
