South Korean singer Lisa, of the all-girls band BLACKPINK, has set a new Guinness world record for the K-Pop universe.
The rapper and dancer of the girls’ quartet, continues to make history with her mega-hit solo album ‘LALISA’ which has achieved yet another feat for the entire K-pop universe.

The album is the first by any Korean soloist to cross a billion streams on the audio-streaming platform Spotify.
Moreover, with the new record to her credit, the album also became the fastest K-pop act [female] to reach this number of streams on Spotify, i.e. in just 595 days of release.
With
the two latest additions to her long list of achievements, the Thai idol now holds a total of seven Guinness world records to her name including the one for most YouTube views on a music video of a solo artist in 24 hours, with 73.6 million views on ‘LALISA’ in a day.

Lisa is also the first K-pop winner of the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards for best video.
Additionally, with a following of over 93 million BLINKS on her Instagram account, Lisa holds the title of the most followers for a K-pop artist.
