Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva set history by becoming the first Bollywood film to top the global box office chart.

It is pertinent to mention that Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva is the third film from India to reach the top spot at the worldwide box office. The previous two were NTR Jr. and RRR (Rise Revolt Revolution).

It has an estimated gross collection of $26.50 million across the world. Its gross earning from India was $18 million. Its gross earnings from North America was $4.50 million. It collected $4 million from countries such as Australia, the UK, UAE etc. It went ahead of two other Asian films in the top three movies titled Give Me Five and Confidential Assignment 2: International.

It became the first Indian film to top the Australian box office chart. It also made number one debuts including India, UAE, Canada and New Zealand.

The top ten films in the list of worldwide box office from September 09 till September 11 are Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva ($26.50 million), Give Me Five ($21.50 million), Confidential Assignment 2: International ($19.50 million), Barbarian ($10.50 million), Bullet Train ($8.95 million), Minions: The Rise of Gru ($7.45 million), Top Gun: Maverick ($7 million), New Gods: Yang Jian ($5.25 million), The Invitation ($5 million) and Hero ($5 million).

Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, helmed and written by Ayan Mukherji, released on September 9. It marked the first on-screen outing of the now-real-life couple, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor together, who play Isha and Shiva respectively.

The rest of the cast includes superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy, Divyendu Sharma, Nagarjuna, and Saurav Gurjar.

Ranbir Kapoor has co-produced the film along with renowned director Karan Johar, Steven Burch, Marijke Desouza, Valentin Dimitrov, Namit Malhotra, and Alexander Peytchev.
