Brett Lee to dance on Bollywood songs!

You saw him drive fear into the hearts of professional batsmen when bowled them clean at blistering pace and with deadly yorkers. He led the Australian pace attack and formidable batting lineups crumbled at his feet. Yes, we’re talking about Brett Lee who was famous for scalping professional batsmen during his open bowling spell. However, the ex-cricketer has recently wrapped up the shoot for his movie unIndian and it also features the former athlete grooving to Bollywood tunes!

The Australian feature film has been directed by Anupam Sharma and will hit screens later this year. Lee specially took time off to shoot the dance sequence from his cricket world cup commentating schedule. After the shooting was wrapped up, Lee returned to Australia to commentate on remaining matches. The film’s director and producer Anupam Sharma had this to say as regards to the song:-

“We were all excited preparing for this final number composed by Salim-Sulaiman, especially because the number has some interesting twists and turns, and Brett in a traditional Indian costume. Brett took time out from his World Cup commentary a week before the big India versus Australia match.”

Anupam Sharma was also all praise for the ease with which Lee identified with Indian culture and traditions.”His love for India and the ease with which he takes on Indian customs is the reason why many call him a de facto Indian,” Sharma said in a statement.

Bollywood film analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted pictures of Lee from the set of unIndian.

Brett’s co-star in the romantic comedy will be Tannishtha Chatterjee who will be romancing him on-screen.
