British university confers honourary fellowship to Wasim Akram

Wasim Akram played for Lancashire for 11 years. He also led the English county club to many championship wins.

The former all-rounder, during the ceremony, said that hard work and dedication are required to make dreams comes true.  He added, “there are no shortcuts in life.”

Apart from Akram, the British varsity also conferred a honourary fellowship to former superbike championship to Carl Fogarty.

The university spokesperson said that they will were pleased to honour the two sports celebrities for their services.

It should be noted that Wasim Akram is currently in Britain. He will do commentary during Pakistan’s tour to England.
