Child abductions on the rise in Lahore

A protest was also staged by area residents of Badami Bagh – an area where most number of kidnappings have been witnessed.

Police told the protesters that abducted children would soon be recovered as the law enforcement personnel were attempting all-out to catch the kidnappers.

However, protesters recoiled the police statement and continued their protest seeking recovery of the missing minors.

Abduction incidents have also been reported from south Chawni where 8-year-old Ali Akbar was kidnapped. Similarly 16-year-old Marium was also abducted from near Ali Park. They are yet to be recovered.
