Citizens take to streets against Taliban

The protesters consisted of women and children, were holding placards and chanted slogans against the Taliban.

The protesters announced to wage war against the oppressors who were killing innocent people in the name of religion.

They said “either one must side with Pakistan or Taliban.” Supporting both at a time is a flagrant contradiction in one’s approach,” reads one placard carried by a protester.

The protest was held at a few miles away from Bacha Khan University, where Taliban gunmen stormed earlier in the day on Jan 20 and killed at least 21 people including a chemistry professor.
