Chief Justice calls for fearless approach in fight against terrorism

QUETTA: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has pressed the nation to act as deterrent against terrorists and their ulterior motives to weaken Pakistan.

Addressing a condolence reference in Quetta this noon, the CJP said that the enemy doesn’t want Pakistan to become a strong country and a symbol of peace.

Several people lost their lives and many were dislodged during the creation of Pakistan…our countrymen rendered sacrifices for this land, he added.

Justice Saqib Nisar said it is commendable that terror incidents had reduced to an extent in the country, “but we need to stay focused and determined to win this war as a nation,” he emphasized.

The chief justice said: “We can’t give anything to our future generations if we didn’t foil conspiracies being hatched by our enemies.”

He stressed that every institution of the country must contribute its role in the fight against terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief justice also pressed for security of the courts, adding that the institution was in contact with the Interior Ministry for protection of the courts.

The chief justice said that the situation in the country with regard to the law and order was unusual.

He called for inclusion of lawyers in training sessions conducted by the judicial academy.
