Closure of border with Afghanistan essential to stop terrorists movement: ambassador

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s ambassador in Afghanistan Syed Abrar categorically told Afghan authorities that closure of border with Afghanistan was essential in order to stop the movement of terrorists from Afghanistan border, ARY News reported.

Afghan Foreign Ministry on Monday raised the issue of shelling from Pakistan and the closure of border with the ambassador.

Syed Abrar said Pakistan responded to the fire from across the border in defense.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson, Syed Abrar said this during his visit to Afghan Foreign Ministry in Kabul.

The Pakistan ambassador said Pakistan’s checkposts were attacked first and then it responded.
