LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday said that he considers problems of people of Punjab as his own and has directed establishment of a state-of-the-art complaint cell at chief minister’s office to resolve people’s issues at the earliest.
“The working of this cell will be directly monitored by me and will make my bond with people of Punjab even stronger,” said CM Punjab.
Talking to federal minister for petroleum, legislator, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and different delegations who separately called on him at his office here today, the chief minister said that PTI government inherited a devastated economy but is making every effort to revive it and serve the people of the country.
“This difficult time will not prevail over because we believe in taking practical steps and will continue to do so to provide maximum relief to the people,” said Buzdar.
About the recently announced provincial budget, the CM said that PTI government has made allocations keeping in view the necessities of a common man and has given health, education and social sector top priority.
“Previous government spent money on costly development projects for personal publicity and neglected common man’s health and education needs,” the CM lamented.
He maintained that PTI government will not allow corrupt individuals in bureaucracy to flourish and will make every move to ensure bureaucrats serve public with honesty and dedication.
“Punjab is being transformed as is the whole country,” the chief minister concluded.
Those who called on the chief minister included federal petroleum minister Ghulam Sarwer Khan, provincial assembly members including Syed Samsam Ali Shah Bukhari, Ahmed Ali Aulakh, Sahibzada Ghazeen Abbasi, Muhammad Atif, Umer Aftab Dhillon, Khurram Ijaz Chatta, Mian Khalid Mahmood, Mrs. Shamim Aftab, Iffat Firdous Rai, Momina Waheed, Zara Naqvi and former district nazim Sahiwal Rai Hassan Nawaz.
