KARACHI: Unidentified persons kidnapped son of a special assistant to Sindh’s chief minister from Karachi’s Gadap Town on Monday, ARY News reported.
Hayat Baloch, a son of Ghulam Murtaza Baloch, who has been special assistant to Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, was kidnapped near Baqai Medical Hospital in Gadap Town, the family members of the abductee said.
They said the kidnappers intercepted his vehicle and then, took him and others in the vehicle hostages at gunpoint. Later, they asked others to get off while they sped away with Hayat. Since then, there was no clue to his whereabouts, they added.
The family sources said a complaint has been lodged with regard to the kidnapping incident at Gadap police station.
Police said they have launched an investigation into the matter with the help from Anti-violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and Citizens Police Liasion Committee (CPLC) and efforts were underway to trace out the abducted person.
