COAS Raheel Sharif visits Mardan, promises help for Parvez Shaheed’s family

According to details, General Raheel Sharif visited the Punjab Regiment Center Mardan. During an event there, the army chief pinned the badges of Colonel Commandant on Pakistan Army’s Military Secretary Lt. General Shahid Baig.

After the event concluded, General Raheel also met with former as well as serving commanders and jawans of the Punjab regiment. Sharif also met with the families of the army men who had laid down their lives for the country.

According to the ISPR, General Raheel Sharif also visited the son of Lance Naik Pervaz Khan at his house, who had been martyred in a suicide bomb attack at NADRA’s office.  There, he met his son Taimur and offered his condolences. Speaking highly of Pervaz Khan, he said that the late Lance Naik had proven to be an example of bravery and courage.

General Raheel also said that Pervaz Rasheed’s family would be helped.

General Raheel sharif, Chief of Army Staff visited Punjab Regimental centre Mardan today. Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza, Military Secretary was installed Colonel Commandant of Punjab Regiment. General Raheel Sharif, COAS pinned the badges of rank at a ceremony held at Punjab Regimental Centre, Mardan.Later  COAS also  interacted with veterans, Commanders, soldiers  of the regiment  and relatives of Shahuada.

COAS also met Mr Taimoor Khan, eldest son of Lance Naik retired Pervaz Khan who embraced shahadat on 29 Dec 15 at NADRA office Mardan while stopping  a suicide bomber  from entering  inside NADRA  office which  Saved many precious  lives. COAS appreciated the courage displayed by Lance Naik retired Pervaz shaheed and assured full support to bereaved family.
