COAS Asim Munir says nothing more sacred than safety, security of people

KAKUL: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said that there is nothing more sacred than the safety and security of the people of Pakistan.

Addressing the passing-out parade of cadets of the 147th Long Course at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, COAS Asim Munir said that the most important responsibility is loyalty to the state of Pakistan and commitment to the constitutional role assigned to the armed forces. There is nothing more sacred than the safety and security of the people of Pakistan, he added.

The Passing-out parade of cadets of the 147th Long Course, 66th Integrated Course, 6th Basic Military Training Course and 21st Lady Cadets Course was held at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.

According to ISPR cadets from Palestine, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, and Sri Lanka were also among the passed-out cadets.

The Army Chief said that our efforts for peace should never be considered as our weakness because Pakistan Army will not hesitate in giving any sacrifice for the security of the motherland.

COAS Asim Munir maintained that Pakistan Army soldiers don’t get fascinated with the numbers and resources of their adversaries. The armed forces stand firm with their strong will and determination while fulfilling the promises of Almighty Allah as true followers, he added.

He recited a verse from Surah-e-Baqarah, which translates as “How many times it happened that a smaller force vanquished a bigger force by the Will of Allah.”

General Asim Munir said that “There is no space for spoilers of our hard-earned peace”. The enemies are busy creating a rift between the people of Pakistan and the armed forces but “We will ensure that the bond between armed forces and people of Pakistan is preserved and further solidified.” he added.

COAS General Asim Munir maintained that the international community should now know that regional peace is not possible without a resolution to the Kashmir issue, he said “We will continue to provide political, moral and diplomatic support to our Kashmiri brothers.”
