Committee formed to organize International Khatam-e-Nabuwat conference

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday and discussed the preparations to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th of Rabi ul Awwal) with religious fervour across the country.

It was finalized during the meeting that International Khatam-e-Nabuwat conference will be organized on the day of  Eid Milad-un-Nabi. An organizing committee was also formed for the purpose, which comprises Fawad Chaudhry, Noorul Haq Qadri, Iftikhar Durrani, Faisal Javed, Babar Awan, Amir Liaquat and Ali Muhammad Khan.

As per Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, a two-day International Khatam-e-Nabuwat conference will be held in the federal capital, in which religious scholars from across the world, including Imam-e-Kaaba, will participate in the conference.

A day earlier, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and briefed about the successful dialogue with the protesters and the current situation of the country.

Talking to the minister, the Prime Minister decided to keep himself in touch with religious scholars and declared clerics’ proposal vital for transforming the country into a state like Madina. He said they wanted to show the world a picture of real and peaceful Islam.

It is pertinent to mention here that the three-day countrywide protests over the acquittal of Aasia Bibi in a blasphemy case ended last week when the federal government reached an agreement with the religious parties.

The protests erupted across the country after the Supreme Court acquitted Aasia Bibi of blasphemy charge on Oct 31.
