Condemnations pour in as Wagah attack toll hits 55

The series of condemnation by almost all the political parties of the country is still continued. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his statement condemned the cowardly attack on innocent people in strongest of the words. He said that the victims of the attack joined the martyrs of the forces fighting against terrorism in state.

PM Nawaz expressed his determination that the operation Zarb-e-Azb will be continued until the elimination of all the terrorists from the country and such cowardly attacks can never shake the morale of the nation.

Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar also denounced the attack and directed the IG Punjab and the DG Rangers to present inquiry report of the incident.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali Zardari, Dr Tahirul Qadri, Imran Khan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Khursheed Shah denounced the terror attack at the Wagah border and declared it a coward act by the terrorists.

Former President, General (R) Pervez Musharraf, MQM chief Altaf Hussain, Chaudhry brothers and the emir of Jamat e Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq also condemned the suicide attack on innocent citizens, who had gathered to enjoy the weekend by witnessing the flag lowering ceremony.

Moreover, Jamat ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, Hamid Raza, Sarwat Aijaz, Governor KP, Governor Gilgit-Baltistan and several others also condemned the attack, which claimed 55 lives including three personnel of the Punjab Rangers.
