According to details, a milk shop owner Sarwar Gujjar had distributed free milk with soda water on the opening of his new shop. The persons, who consumed the beverage, fell ill soon after drinking it.
The ailing persons were rushed to medical facilities for treatment.
DC Faisalabad Salman Ghani said that 59 persons were brought to Allied Hospital of the city, while 35 persons were admitted at the General Hospital.
Police arrested Gujjar and his employee Mohammad Hanif after the incident. Local health officials have collected the samples of the milk and yoghurt and sealed the shop.
Owner of the soda water factory Malik Maqsood has also been taken into police custody.
