ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said the recent crackdown against proscribed outfits is in line with the decisions made during a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) in January this year.
In an interview to an Indian TV channel, he said the government has been implementing the NSC decisions with regard to proscribed organizations. He recalled that there was a consensus among all political parties about the National Action Plan (NAP) in 2014.
Chaudhry said Pakistan wanted to promote peace and regional cooperation in the region.
“Pakistan is well aware of its internal issues and striving to resolve them. But India is not even looking at the issues plaguing it,” he said.
