Cylinder explosion kills man, injures four in Quetta

QUETTA: A man was killed and four children got burn injuries in a blast due to a gas leakage at Quetta’s Kansi road, ARY News on Sunday.

According to the rescue sources, the bodies and injured were rushed to Bolan Medical Centre for treatment.

“The blast occurred when a matchstick was lit in the kitchen to prepare breakfast”, the rescue officials said.

On Thursday, two labourers died and seven others fell unconscious due to gas leakage, in a factory situated at Shafiqabad, an area of Lahore.

As per rescue sources, two workers working in a shoe factory lost their lives, while seven others faint due to gas leakage in the factory premises.

After being informed about the incident, the rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the faint labourers to Meo Hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the police had arrested the owner of the factory after the incident.

In a separate incident of gas leakage that took place on February 8, four members of a family died and two others fell unconscious due to suffocation, in a gas leakage incident in Quetta.

According to rescue sources, the awful incident took place in Quetta’s area of Pashtunabad, where a father along with his three children, lost his live due to gas leakage in the house.
