While, Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said resignation of Daniyal Bilour was his personal decision.

Daniyal Bilour is the son of slain party leader Haroon Bilour, who was among 22 people killed when a suicide attack attacked a party corner meeting in Peshawar days before the July 25 elections last year. He was contesting for the PK-78 constituency in the upcoming election.

Haroon Bilour was holding a corner meeting in the Yakatoot area when an explosion occurred leaving at least three people dead on the spot and several others injured.

It is pertinent to note here that Bilour’s father, Bashir Ahmed Bilour, too had lost his life in a 2012 suicide bomb explosion in the city’s Qissa Khwani bazar. Haroon was the eldest son of Bashir Bilour and was contesting elections from the same constituency as his late father.
