Deepika turned down Hollywood offer

Bollywood starlet Deepika Padukone, riding high with her fourth blockbuster of the year ‘Ram-Leela’, claims she will work in a Hollywood film if the role is good, whether big or small.

She turned down the offer of the upcoming film ‘Fast and Furious 7’ due her commitments to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for ‘Ram-Leela’. However, the 27-year-old actress said she has no regrets of losing a chance to make a Hollywood debut.

“I don’t regret it. I had to work out things for ‘Ram-Leela’ here, I couldn’t have left the process mid way, and I had given my commitment here first. Looking at the way the film (‘Ram-Leela’) has got response, I feel good as my hard work has paid off,” the ‘Chennai Express’ said in a statement.

“I would love to do a Hollywood film. The reason for me to do a Hollywood film is same as what I do here in Bollywood.”

When quizzed whether she’ll go ahead with small roles in Hollywood, Padukone said, “There is nothing like a small role. The role has to be of impact, this is what matters, and the length of it (role) doesn’t. A good actor can make a presence felt even in a short time.”
