On the occasion Chairman BOI said several opportunities for cheap electricity production are available in Pakistan including wind, solar, Biomass, waste, coal and water which needed to be utilized.
Dr. Miftah Ismail informed that Pakistan is capable of generating 3 lakh 40 thousand mega watt electricity via wind.
“In Gharo near Keti Bandargah located in the province of Sindh 50,000 mega watt electricity can be produced using wind”, he added.
Jesper Moller said that companies of Denmark is interested to invest in the wind power production sector of Pakistan and country’s high level delegation will visit Pakistan in this regard.
