The Police Crime Branch has detained actor and model Rohullah Mehdi in relation to a suspected drug trafficking investigation. Mehdi co-starred with Shahid Kapoor in the 2025 movie Deva.
Police claim that Mehdi and his companion were taken into custody after they were suspected of delivering drugs near Dahisar Check Naka.
To keep an eye on the region and investigate the tip, a police squad was assembled.
During the operation, the actor and his companion were allegedly discovered in possession of 28 grams of cocaine.
Police began looking into the suspected narcotics network after the arrests.
Mehdi was subsequently brought before a judge and is said to have been placed in police custody for five days.
Investigators are currently determining where the narcotics came from and whether Mehdi supplied them to anyone else.
Mehdi reportedly resides in Goregaon, Mumbai, but is originally from the Budgam area of Jammu and Kashmir.
He has appeared in web series and movies.
