According to investigators, a jirga involving family members was allegedly held in Dir to plan Shamsoo Bibi’s murder. More than 100 people reportedly attended the jirga, where the task of carrying out the killing was allegedly assigned to her cousins.

Police further claimed that Shamsoo Bibi’s father and brother were also present during the alleged planning of the murder.

The case took a different turn after the victim’s father initially told investigators that she had been killed over a financial dispute.
