DG ISPR felicitates Arshad Sharif on nomination for ‘Pride of Performance’ award

ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Sunday congratulated ARY News anchorperson Arshad Sharif on nomination for ‘Pride of Performance’ award.

In a tweet from his personal account, the DG ISPR said, “Congrats Arshad Sharif on nomination for ‘Pride of Performance’ Award in Journalism. Deservingly”.


It may be recalled that Arshad Sharif also won the AGAHI award for the best anchorperson in  2018.

Earlier in the day, the federal government had issued a list of 127 foreign and Pakistani nationals. who will be conferred  civil awards by President Dr Arif Alvi for showing excellence in their respective fields.

An investiture ceremony for these awards will take place on Pakistan Day, 23rd March.

Prominent among the people who will be conferred awards are,  former cricket stars Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), Shaheed Nawabzada Mir Siraj Raisani (Sitara-i-Shuta’at), film actor Babra Sharif (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), Mehwish Hayat (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz), singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi ( Sitara-i-Imtiaz), Syed Sabihuddin Usamni (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz – Naat recitation), Aqeel Karim Dhedhi (Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Public Service), and anchorperson Arshad Sharif (President’s Award Pride of Performance).
